What is motion control? Motion control is a technique used to make and repeat camera moves frame accurately for as many takes as necessary. We have a variety of dollies, cranes and heads, so we will definitely have something to suit your needs. Why use motion control? Traditionally it has been used to film separate elements of a shot which are to be composited later. More recently it has also been used by directors to have complete control of the camera for precise movement. · If the subject has a very short life, e.g. food, this takes one variable out of the shooting equation. · If the shot requires tricky manouvres such as macro focus pulls, rolling of the camera, etc…. it can be easier to program rather than spending hours trying to achieve it normally. Why not use motion control? Some people approach post production houses asking 'How can I do this without using motion control?' Motion control does have a bad name in some quarters of the industry. As in all things, but especially with motion control, the equipment is only as good as the operator. We have the experience and the spares to forsee and overcome technical hitches. We are dedicated to making motion control a painless tool to be used as you would a camera, or a set of legs. Move Making Programming Import
